Autumn International tips
So far for this Autumn International series, 7 of our 9 match handicap tips have won, plus a 15/2 treble three weeks ago, while last week we would have nailed another treble at 7/1 but for Wales conceding three late tries having led 16-15 with 10 minutes remaining - we had tipped Wales (+14). This week our final tips are for the games at Twickenham and the Millennium Stadium.
England v Australia (2.30pm Saturday - SkySports 2)
The autumn internationals have shown that if the World Cup was being staged next month then both England and Australia wouldn't be ready. Fortunately for both nations, they have the best part of a year to build on a frustrating series, which has seen both sides lose their last two key matches by three-point margins. There's enough evidence from England's losses to New Zealand and South Africa, together with the Wallabies' defeats to France and Ireland, to suggest that another tight game is on the cards at Twickenham, where England have fallen short this month. Ladbrokes have England as 4/6 favourites, while Bet365 are offering Australia at 6/4. The pick of the handicap bets is Coral's offer of Australia plus 4, paying 10/11.
Wales v South Africa (2.30pm Saturday - BBC1)
Saturday's other match sees Wales host a powerful South Africa side, who beat England 31-28 at Twickenham a fortnight ago to bounce back from a convincing defeat to 6 Nations champions Ireland. Wales competed well against New Zealand last weekend before the game was taken away from them late on, but their six-year wait for a victory against a team from the southern hemisphere goes on. Wales have won only one of 29 matches against the Springboks, so only the most optimistic of Welsh fans would back them at William Hill's best odds of 21/10, but the four most recent meetings at the Millennium Stadium have all been close, with last year's 24-15 loss the biggest margin. Wales came close against Australia, losing by three points, and can get within seven of South Africa.
