Gloucester v Saracens (7.45pm Friday - BTSport1)

Gloucester 26-25 victory over Exeter at Sandy Park last weekend will have given them a real lift and will help them to compete with Saracens at Kingsholm on Friday night. Sarries aren’t firing quite the way they can and they haven’t beaten a six-point handicap in any of their last five away Premiership games - their two wins in that time being by two points at Newcastle and four at London Irish. They should win the game, but back the Cherry and Whites plus 6.

Harlequins v Leicester (3.15pm Saturday - BTSport1)

After a morale-boosting win over second placed Bath last weekend, Leicester can strengthen their claim for a Premiership semi-final place by beating Harlequins at the Stoop on Saturday. Leicester, who beat Quins by six points earlier in the season, typically gain momentum in the second half of the season while the Londoners, who sit eighth in the table, have won only once against a team currently above them in the standings this term. That statistic highlights how far they have fallen below the standards set in recent years. The Tigers are 10/11 in the match betting with Paddy Power, but can be backed at 6/5 with Bet365.

Newcastle v London Welsh (2pm Sunday - BTSport1)

Newcastle underlined their recent improvement by taking a bonus point from their visit to champions and league leaders Northampton last weekend and they are just 1/14 to claim a fourth win of the season when they host London Welsh on Sunday. The visitors have taken just one point from the entire campaign and last week secured their best result so far - an 11-point defeat to Harlequins. Newcastle beat them by 20 in October and can get beyond that margin this time. Back the Falcons with a minus 19 start, paying 10/11.
