Farmers Insurance Open tips
Graham DeLaet struggled with injuries for much of the second half of last season, but he is back and trouble free and it showed as he tied for seventh place at the Phoenix Open. It's a timely recovery given his record at the Farmers, where he was ninth in 2013 and runner-up 12 months ago. Stan James and Coral offer the top price of 33/1.
Marc Leishman has good memories of this event having been runner-up in both 2010 and last year and the steady Australian can usually be relied upon to keep himself in the frame, having missed the cut at just two of his last 17 tournaments. With three top 10s in the last five years here, he has to be a good each-way bet at odds of 55/1 with Stan James.
Several firms price rising star Justin Thomas at 33/1 this week, with Coral's clear top price of 50/1 surely to be short-lived. The 21-year-old is in great form, following up top 10s at the Sony Open and Humana Challenge with a share of 17th in Phoenix, plus he placed in the top 10 on debut here a year ago.
Pat Perez has been playing consistently well this season and can certainly compete at an event he has got to grips with in the last few years. The 39-year-old missed a number of cuts at Torrey Pines before finishing 20th four years ago, and has since placed 22nd, 21st and second last year. At 100/1 with Stan James, he's way too big and most firms are quoting 66/1.
