Liverpool v Tottenham tips
Liverpool face in-form Tottenham on Tuesday and the game is live on BTSport1 from 8pm.
Spurs would be top of a league made up of just the last five games, having won four and lost one scoring 13 goals, although Liverpool would themselves be in third place in such a league (W3, D2).
Even so, we were a little surprised to see the Reds at odds-on to beat Tottenham, with BetVictor offering the best price of 10/11 on Brendan Rodgers side, while Spurs can be backed at a best odds of 7/2 with Betfred and the draw at a tempting 29/10 with Bet365.
Part of the reason for Liverpool being such a short price is that they have lost one of their last 20 games against Spurs at home, winning on no less than 13 occasions. However, the worry for those wanting to lump on Liverpool at odds on against an in form rival is that they have won just four of their last 11 league games at Anfield - drawing five times.
Tottenham have won five of their last seven league games on the road - and in all of those games they have either won 2-1 or 3-0. Given that Liverpool have scored 15 goals in their last four league meetings with Spurs we strongly suggest backing both teams to score at 7/10 with Ladbrokes, as well as 'Over 2.5 Goals' at 3/4 with BetVictor.
We also suggest backing Spurs in the 'Draw No Bet' market at 9/4 with BetVictor or Coral, as well as the 2-1 Spurs win at 14/1 with Betfred - not only is that the best price available, but Betfred refund losing Correct Score bets on all televised matches that finish 1-1.
Finally, we cannot go without backing both Harry Kane and Daniel Sturridge to score the first goal here. Kane can be backed 13/2 and Sturridge 9/2 - both with William Hill, who offer to refund losing Correct Score bets should your selection score second rather than first - or if the game finishes 0-0.
