6 Nations - Round 3 tips
Scotland v Italy (2.30pm Saturday - BBC1)
Scotland did enough in their first two games to suggest they will fare better than Italy in this year's tournament and a sixth win in seven meetings with the Azzurri looks to be on the cards. The Scots will be disappointed to have lost by seven points to France and three points to Wales given their recent improvement, but they will be encouraged by the nature of their performances and will be aided by the absence of Italian powerhouse Martin Castrogiovanni after he lost a bout with a friend's dog. Take a chance on Scotland with a minus 11 handicap.
France v Wales (5pm Saturday - BBC1)
Wales have dominated France in recent years, winning the last three meetings by increasing margins, including a 10-point victory in Paris two years ago. Both sides know they must win to keep alive their title hopes and arguably it is the Welsh who have looked the better side over the last six months. It's a game of fine margins though and that's reflected in the three-point handicap. Back Warren Gatland's men to prevail at even money with Bet365 or Paddy Power.
Ireland v England (3pm Sunday - BBC1)
England and Ireland go into their meeting in Dublin looking to preserve their chances of a Grand Slam having both won their first two matches. England's win in Wales could yet prove to be the decisive result of the tournament regardless of how this game goes, but the World Cup hosts look to be building some momentum and know a fifth straight win over the Irish should set them on the way to only their second title in 12 years. Ireland are marginal favourites in the outright betting thanks to their home advantage, with England rated the slightly better side and favourites for the title. We've tipped Ireland from the start of the championship and don't wish to switch horses at this stage, so the recommendation is a small bet on the hosts to win at best odds of 10/11 with BetVictor.
